Arizona advanced to the World Series for the first time since 2001 after beating Philadelphia in the NLCS and won three of its four meetings with the Rangers this year; Texas makes its third appearance in the Fall Classic and first since 2011.

The World Series begins Friday, October 27; a potential Game Seven is scheduled for Saturday, November 4. All its games air on the Fox network.

Texas, 90-72, advanced to the postseason for the first time since 2016 and won the season series, 4-2, including a series sweep in July; Tampa Bay, 99-63, is set to make its fifth straight postseason appearance as Yandy Diaz won the AL batting title.

American League Wild Card Series — Game 1

The Blue Jays and Twins embrace their first postseason meeting in 32 years with Game 1 of this AL wild-card series. Minnesota comfortably won its third AL Central title in five years, but sets out to end a record 18-game skid in postseason contests.

Minnesota, 87-75, won the AL Central by nine games to claim its first division title since 2020 and Max Kepler led the Twins with 24 home runs and 66 RBIs; Toronto, 89-73, advanced to the postseason for the third time in the last four seasons.

National League Wild Card Series — Game 1
Arizona DiamondbacksMilwaukee Brewers (7 p.m., ESPN2)

The Brewers host the Diamondbacks for Game 1 of a National League wild-card series. Arizona won four of six meetings this season, including two in Milwaukee. The clubs last met in the playoffs in 2011, when the Brewers won a division series 3-2.

Milwaukee, 92-70, clinched the NL Central for the second time in the last three seasons and Willy Adames led the team with 24 home runs; Arizona, 84-78, is set to make its first postseason appearance since 2017 and won the season series, 4-2.

National League Wild Card Series — Game 1
Miami Marlins Philadelphia Phillies (8 p.m., ESPN)

ESPN Radio announcers: Mike Couzens, Chris Burke
Philadelphia hosts Miami in Game 1 of their NL wild-card series. The Marlins go with Jesús Luzardo, who was 2-0 against the Phillies in the regular season. The Phillies counter with Zack Wheeler, who earned three no-decisions versus the Fish in 2023.

Philadelphia, 90-72, is set to make its second straight postseason appearance after losing to Houston in the World Series last year, 4-2; Miami, 84-78, advanced to the postseason for the first time since 2020 and won the season series, 7-6.

Texas advanced to the ALDS after a 2-0 sweep over Tampa Bay in the wild card series to secure its first playoff series victory since 2011; Baltimore clinched the AL East and a spot in the divisional series after finishing the season at 101-61.

American League Division Series — Game 2
Minnesota TwinsHouston Astros (8:03 p.m., FS1)

The Astros look to take a commanding lead on the Twins in Game 2 of the AL Division Series. Justin Verlander delivered six scoreless innings as Houston took Game 1 from Minnesota by a 6-4 margin. Yordan Álvarez (HOU) homered twice in that victory.

Minnesota made the ALDS following a 2-0 sweep over Toronto in the wild card round to secure its first playoff series victory in 21 years; Houston clinched the AL West and a spot in the divisional series after finishing the regular season 90-72.

Atlanta hosts Philadelphia in Game 2 of a NL Division Series. The Braves spoiled seven innings and eight strikeouts from Spencer Strider by getting shut out in Game 1. Bryce Harper (PHI) went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in the 3-0 win.

Philadelphia advanced to the NLDS after a 2-0 sweep over Miami in the wild card series to secure its fourth playoff series victory since last season; Atlanta clinched the NL East and won its season series with the Phillies this season, 8-5.

National League Division Series — Game 2
Arizona DiamondbacksLos Angeles Dodgers (9:07 p.m., TBS)
Announcers: Bob Costas, Ron Darling, Lauren Shehadi
The Dodgers are down 1-0 entering Game 2 of the NL Division Series versus the Diamondbacks. Clayton Kershaw was torched for six runs in just 1/3 of an inning as Arizona demolished Los Angeles 11-2 in Game 1. Tommy Pham (ARI) was 4-for-5 with a homer.

Arizona advanced to the NLDS following a 2-0 series sweep over Milwaukee in the wild card series to secure its first playoff series victory since 2017; Los Angeles clinched the NL West and won its season series with the Diamondbacks this season, 8-5.

The Twins and Astros move to Minnesota for Game 3 of their AL Division Series, tied 1-1. Minnesota’s Pablo López turned in seven solid innings en route to his second victory of the postseason in Game 2. Kyle Farmer (MIN) homered in the 6-2 triumph.

Minnesota tied the series at 1-1 following a 6-2 victory over Houston in Game 2 behind a two-run home run from Kyle Farmer, along with three RBIs off of three hits from Carlos Correa; Yordan Alvarez hit a two-run home run for the Astros in the loss.

American League Division Series — Game 3
Baltimore OriolesTexas Rangers (8:03 p.m., Fox)
Announcers: Joe Davis, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal
Texas gained a 2-0 lead in the series following an 11-8 victory over Baltimore in Game 2 behind a grand slam from Mitch Garver in the third inning, along with two RBIs from Leody Taveras; Aaron Hicks recorded five RBIs for the Orioles in the loss.

The Rangers vie for a sweep of the Orioles in Game 3 of their American League division series. Texas rolled to an 11-8 victory in Game 2. The Rangers totaled nine runs in the second and third innings, highlighted by Mitch Garver’s grand slam.

The Braves and Phillies play a pivotal Game 3 of their NL Division Series. Atlanta avoided a 2-0 hole by erasing a four-run deficit to prevail 5-4 in Game 2. Michael Harris II’s leaping catch against the wall started the game-ending double play.

Atlanta tied the series at 1-1 after a 5-4 victory over Philadelphia in Game 2 as Austin Riley hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to complete the Braves comeback from a 4-0 deficit in the fifth inning; JT Realmuto has two RBIs in the loss.

American League Division Series — Game 4

The Astros look to put away the Twins, up 2-1 entering Game 4 of their AL Division Series. Houston moved within a game of its seventh straight Championship Series appearance by stomping Minnesota 9-1 in Game 3 as José Abreu homered twice in that win.

National League Division Series — Game 3
Los Angeles DodgersArizona Diamondbacks (9:07 p.m., TBS)
Announcers: Bob Costas, Ron Darling, Lauren Shehadi
The Diamondbacks attempt to close out the Dodgers in Game 3 of their NL Division Series. Arizona put a 2-0 stranglehold on the set by taking two in Los Angeles by a combined 15-4 score. Gabriel Moreno drove in four of those runs for Arizona.

Arizona took a 2-0 lead in the series following a 4-2 victory over Los Angeles in Game 2 as Lourdes Gurriel Jr. recorded two hits, including a solo home run in the sixth inning; J.D. Martinez hit a solo home run for the Dodgers in the loss.
